Dr. Harvey Frommer, author of dozens of baseball books including the recently published "Remembering Fenway Park," entertained members of the Gardner-Waterman Vermont Chapter on March 31 — Opening Day of the baseball season — at the Salt Hill Pub in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
Frommer held a book signing and gave a brief talk about baseball as he has seen it during his long and illustrious life as a writer and fan, according to Lorin Duckman.
"I enjoyed the opportunity to talk to the author before formal presentation as well as get to meet other SABR members," Tom Wallace said.
SABR Treasurer F.X. Flinn told the story of the Krinsley Cup, the award given annually to the Stamford Rotisserie League Pennant winner, a trophy he received in 2008. The ball atop the trophy has the signatures of the 12 founders.
Afterward, members kicked back and watched the defending World Series champion San Francisco Giants take on their archrivals, the Los Angeles Dodgers.
