Halsey Hall Chapter book club meeting (Roseville, MN)
The Halsey Hall Chapter Book Club will hold its next meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 15 at Barnes & Noble in Har Mar Mall in Roseville, Minnesota.
This month's book will be Francona: The Red Sox Years by Terry Francona and Dan Shaughnessy.
A new feature for the meeting will be discussion of complete-game telecasts of baseball games. Members are invited to purchase the telecast for Game 7 of the 1965 World Series, available on iTunes for $1.99, and discuss the game and the telecast. If members are interested in continuing watching vintage games, the group will decide on other games to watch and meet in conjunction with the book club or at a separate time. Gary DeSmith will oversee the video group.
The Halsey Hall Chapter book club meets bi-monthly, usually on the second weekend of even-numbered months.
The book club was started in August 2002 and has drawn anywhere from five to 12 members at any event. The club meets either in a coffee shop or at the home of a book club regular. The book club is open to all chapter members, whether or not they have read the book (there are no quizzes). Future book selection suggestions are always welcome.
