FLAME DELHI CHAPTER TO PRESENT INAUGURAL ARIZONA FALL LEAGUE CONFERENCE
We are hard at work putting together the first-ever SABR/AFL Conference. Please help spread the word! The dates are November 12-14 with the following tentative schedule:
Thursday:
2:00-6:00: Registration
6:00: Bus to ballpark
6:30: AFL Game
Friday:
8:00-noon: Registration continues.
8:30-11:30: Kickoff breakfast:
Speakers- AFL founder Roland Hemond; AFL President Steve Cobb; MLB General Manger (TBA).
12:00: Bus to AFL Game
12:30: AFL Game #1
3:00: Bus to second AFL Game
3:30-6:00 Dinner at the ballpark;
Speakers include AFL field personnel; MLB Scout; Media member; TBA--focus is on player development.
6:30: AFL Game #3
9:30: Bus to hotel
Saturday:
Breakfast on your own (Embassy Suites offers FREE cook to order breakfast for guests),
12:00 Bus to AFL Game
12:30: AFL Game #4.
3:30: Bus to hotel
7:00 PM: Arizona MLB Alumni Dinner featuring prominent guests TBA.
The dinner will also feature presentation of the Arizona Baseball Awards honoring the top Major and Minor League players from Arizona as well as the top College; Jr. College and Prep baseball and softball players.
Registration is $75 and includes:
--tickets to four AFL Games
--round trip bus transportation between the hotel and the ballparks --an Arizona Fall League Media Guide --an Arizona Fall League program --the kickoff breakfast --the ballpark dinner (hamburgers and hot dogs)
Registration for the AZ MLB Alumni dinner is sold separately for $75 per person. Proceeds from the dinner and a silent auction benefit SABR B.A.T. (Baseball Assistance Team); Arizona Youth Baseball; and Play Ball; The Cactus League Experience (Exhibit at the Mesa Historical Museum).
