On September 15, 2009, SABR added eighteen issues of The National Pastime and an additional thirteen issues of The Baseball Research Journal to its online archives.
"We are excited to be able to make more of our past research available online," said SABR Executive Director John Zajc. "This gives more people the chance to learn more about what we do, and hopefully more will get involved as members, or even as contributors to future publications."
These latest additions are PDFs of the original journals. As volunteers step forward to assist with the process of creating separate pages for each article in the journal, they will be available at the article level similar to the 1972 to 1984 issues of The Baseball Research Journal were made available in 2008.
SABR (pronounced “Saber”) is an international organization headquartered in Cleveland, OH. The Society's mission is to foster the study of baseball, to assist in developing and maintaining the history of the game, to facilitate the dissemination of baseball research and to stimulate interest in baseball.
