Fans of baseball past and present, historians, statisticians, and biographers can take advantage of the Society for American Baseball Research’s (SABR) online archive of convention presentations. More than 40 SABR members presented at the convention, and SABR is posting audio files of convention presentations to its convention website at: http://convention.sabr.org/archive/sabr39/presentations. Members and non-members alike can listen to the presentations and download any accompanying Powerpoint or related visuals.
Topics of presentations range from mismanagement in the American League expansion of 1961 to the effect of defensive position on offensive performance to a biographical profile of George Wilson to the effect of new ballparks at the minor league level. Be sure to check back to the site frequently as more presentations are added.
