Charlie Bevis
Charlie Bevis is the author of numerous articles on baseball history as well as five books, including Jimmy Collins: A Baseball Biography (McFarland, 2012), which was a finalist for the 2013 Larry Ritter Award, and Mickey Cochrane: The Life of a Baseball Hall of Fame Catcher (McFarland, 1998). He was a 2006 recipient of the McFarland-SABR Baseball Research Award for his article "Rocky Point: A Lone Outpost of Sunday Baseball in Sabbatarian New England," which was published in NINE: A Journal of Baseball History and Culture. He writes baseball from his home in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
