Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum

Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum

With the move to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the Dodgers tried to compensate for the short distance to left field with a high screen and national park-like dimensions for right and right-center. This is the 1958 layout. The fences in right and right center were pulled in for the next season and the left field screen probably took away as many home runs as the shorter-than-normal distance allowed.
