Southern California public transit

Despite its reputation, Southern California does have some public transit. Immediately below is the way to get on the Metro system and move to downtown LA. From there, bus, light rail and traditional rail can take you many places. Below the general directions are the websites for individual attractions with their directions on using public transit.

From the Long Beach Hilton, take a left out the front door onto Ocean Avenue. Then walk two blocks to Pacific and take a left. The Blue Line Metro Station is at 498 Pacific Avenue, just a couple of blocks up. There is a kiosk to purchase train fare. The Blue Line train takes you all the way to the 7th St./Metro station. From there, it is a short walk to the Red Line station where you can take the subway to Union Station. From Union Station, you can go to a number of different places.
