Luke Easter Chapter Hot Stove Talk (Rochester, NY)

Join us for the second installment of SABR Luke Easter Chapter Hot Stove Talks from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at the Rochester Central Library's Kate Gleason Auditorium, 114 South Ave, Rochester, NY 14604. All baseball fans are welcome to attend.

We'll have four different presentations; here is the scheduled lineup:

  • 2:00-2:25: Tony Brancato, "Bringing the Deadball to Life: Researching Rochester's Live Oak Base Ball Club of the 19th Century"
  • 2:25-2:50: Rebecca Edwards, "The Signs of Baseball: The Origin Stories of Umpire's Gestures"
  • 2:50-3:00: Break
  • 3:00-3:25: Paul Bielewicz, "Hallowed Grounds - The Baseball Grounds of Rochester, NY"
  • 3:25-3:50: St John Fisher Sports Management Program Diamond Dollars Case Competition Team: Reprising their entry from the SABR Analytics Conference; this year's case focused on applying data from Baseball Prospectus on Pitch Tunneling in regards to front-office decision making.
