Media members such as Keith Law, Dave Cameron (FanGraphs) and Ben Lindbergh (Baseball Prospectus) were on-hand, as was former major-league pitcher Brian Bannister.
All ticket sale proceeds were donated to the Jimmy Fund. Farrell, like Valentine last year, gave his time to the cause with a question-and-answer session. Dan Brooks, who runs BrooksBaseball.net and co-organizes the event, estimated $20,000 was raised.
