The 2018 regular meeting dates are February 20, April 23, May 14, June 19, July 23, August 20, October (TBD), November 19, and December 17.
We also have an informal get together the first Wednesday of most months at Sportsman’s Park restaurant in Ladue, MO (9901 Clayton Road). Again, plan to arrive any time after 5 p.m. for some baseball talk. The dates for those meetings in 2018 are February 7, March 7, April 4, May 2, June 6, July 3, August 1, September 5, and October 3. No fee to attend (other than the cost of your meal) and you don’t have to be a member of SABR.
We also have three special events scheduled for 2018:
On January 27, we will host our annual Hot Stove event on SABR Day 2018. We’ll have a luncheon with special guests at Favazza’s on the Hill. There will be a fee to attend this event.
On March 18, we will celebrate our namesake Bob Broeg’s 100th birthday at Ballpark Village. There is a Cardinals spring training game that day and we plan to watch it on the big screen. More details to follow.
On September 8, we host our fourth annual Jim Rygelski Baseball Research Conference at Webster University. This year we hope to have both oral presentations and poster presentations and we’ll present Jim Rygelski awards to the best oral presentation and the best poster presentation about baseball.
