Jackie Robinson 1950s Coin Bank

Description

A color slide of a photograph of a Jackie Robinson metal dime coin collector bank distributed by a Brooklyn bank. The yellow tin is adorned with an illustration of Robinson in a batting pose along with his name and slogan, "Save and win with Jackie Robinson Daily dime register bank." The tin container received dimes in a slot along its side. On the face of the tin are two dials that show the day of the week and the amount of money currently in the bank. On the rear of the tin are the words "press down at $5.00", which is likely indicative of the amount the bank holds and that it is full of dimes.
