Ted Williams Throwing a Baseball in Korea

Description

A color slide of a photograph of Ted Williams throwing a baseball in Korea. The photograph is from the article "Ted Williams-Still a Big-Leager" by Marvin Koner, published in the July 18, 1953 edition of Collier's magazine. Williams is visible from the thighs up and is holding a baseball in his right hand behind him at about stomach level. He looks to his left, smiling toward where he will throw the baseball. He is wearing a white shirt and military green khakis. The caption beside the photograph is only partially visible, but in total, it reads, "At his Korean jet base, Williams limits baseball activity to games of catch. With the Red Sox, he seldom was pictured without a bat in his hands." Information written on the physical slide reads, "Ted Williams - Still a Big Leaguer"
