Cliff Kachline Chapter meeting – 10/29/2011
The Cliff Kachline Chapter held its fall meeting on October 29, 2011, in Cooperstown, New York.
The presenters were:
- Bruce Markusen, on major leaguers who went to Vietnam.
- Claudette Scrafford and Jim Gates, on the Tom Shea and Dick Thompson research collections.
- Ira Cooperman, on the demise of the Dodgers under the McCourt ownership.
- Tom Shieber, on Babe Ruth’s “Headin’ Home” feature film.
Many members adjourned to New York Pizzeria afterwards for more baseball discussion.
