The back of card number 87 in the set reads, "Floyd Baker Infield - Chicago White Sox Born: Lunay, Va., Oct. 10, 1919 Height: 5-10 Weight: 160 Bats: Left Throws: Right Hit .317 in 83 games in 1950. Batted .260 in 125 games in 1949, and had a fielding percentage of .977 which was good enough to lead American League third basemen who were participants in more than 100 games. Entered organized ball in 1938. Stayed in minors several years. In St. Louis Browns' lineup briefly in 1943 and 1944. Then sold to Chicago. Became Sox regular, 1947.
