Y., Aug. 13, 1918 Height: 5-11 1/2 Weight: 180 Bats: Right Throws: Right The 1950 season was Sid's first with a major league club other than the Giants whom he joined in 1941. Shunted to the Boston Braves, he did his usual good job. Hit .304 in 134 games. Drove in 103 runs. Extra-base hits included 33 doubles, 4 triples, 27 homers. Tied a big-time record with 4 grand slam homers in 1 season. Among Sid's 1949 achievements were 26 doubles and a like number of homers.
