The back of card number 231 in the set reads, "Luis Aloma Pitcher - Chicago White Sox Born: Havana, Cuba, July 23, 1923 Height: 6 ft. Weight: 180 Bats: Right Throws: Right Had a 7-2 record in 42 games in 1950, with an earned run average of 3.78. Started with Chattanooga in 1944. Had a trial with Washington in 1946, after compiling 16 wins and 11 losses for the Lookouts. Pitched for Charlotte of the Tri-State League in 1947. Won 8, lost 7. Pitched in Cuba in 1948, and with Buffalo in 1949. Won 10, lost 9 Racked up a total of 115 strikeouts in 180 innings. No. 231 in the 1951 series Baseball Picture Cards Reprint 1986 C.C.C."
