Keley Russo
/in /by Jacob PomrenkeKELEY RUSSO learned to love baseball and the Red Sox at
an early age, thanks to her dad, Babe DeLuca. Many a day was
spent in the backyard with her dad playing pickle, pitching, or
shagging fly balls, culminating in playing for a winning state
championship softball team when she was 12. Babe instilled in
Keley a deep love of and devotion to baseball and to the Red
Sox, with many fond memories of games at Fenway with her
family. Keley is a new SABR member (2022) and this is her first
SABR writing experience, collaborating with her sister, Karen
DeLuca Stephens. The sisters enjoy discussing in great detail the
outcome of every Sox game while keeping an eye on what those
Yankees are up to. Keley works for Southern New Hampshire
University and resides in Lunenburg, Massachusetts, with her
husband and two children.
