Steven Wisensale

Wisensale is professor emeritus of public policy at the University of Connecticut, where he taught a very popular course, “Baseball and Society: Politics, Economics, Race, and Gender.” In 2017 he went to Japan as a Fulbright scholar and taught another baseball course, “Baseball Diplomacy in Japan-U.S. Relations.” A longtime member of SABR, Steve has been both a frequent attendee and an occasional presenter at the Cooperstown Symposium on Baseball and American Culture. An avid Orioles fan, he resides in Essex, Connecticut, with his wife, Nan, and their two dogs, Song and Blue Moon.
