Timothy Peeler

major-league baseball game in 1978, the day after Pete Rose’s
44-game hitting streak ended, and saw Tom Seaver pitch a com
plete-game three-hitter. A 1987 graduate of NC State University
20 years writing about sports at newspapers in the Carolinas and
has contributed to national newspapers, magazines, and websites.
He is a member of the NC State Athletic Hall of Fame Selection
Committee and a member of the North Carolina Sports Hall
of Fame Board of Directors. He and his wife Elizabeth have
two adult sons, Michael and Benjamin.
