William H. Lyons
/in /by adminWilliam H. Lyons has been a SABR member since 1995 and is a member of the Boston Braves Historical Association. He grew up in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, graduated from Colby College and Boston College Law School, and practiced law in Bangor, Maine. He taught at the University of Nebraska College of Law for 35 years before retiring in 2016 and returning home to New England. He now lives in Castine, Maine. He was a fan of the Boston Braves for a year (1952), then followed the team in Milwaukee and Atlanta. He is a Red Sox fan, although he wishes that Boston still had a National League team. He enjoys researching and writing about baseball history and has just joined a SABR group working on the origins of baseball in New England.
