Bob Broeg St. Louis Chapter meeting recap – 2/1/2017
Seven SABR members and friends of the Bob Broeg St. Louis Chapter convened on Wednesday, February 1 for our monthly meeting at the Sports Café and an evening of baseball talk. The main topics in a 2 1/2-hour bull session included:
- The penalties handed to the Cardinals for the hacking incident
- Impressions of this year’s Hot Stove event
- Some ideas for improvement for next year’s Hot Stove (including inviting Heidi Watney as one of our guests next year!)
- Simulation baseball leagues
- Fact checking for SABR bios
- The SABR Convention this summer in New York City.
See what you guys who aren’t making it to this get-together are missing! Our next one will be held Wednesday, March 1 at the Sports Cafe in Bridgeton (3579 Pennridge Dr., Bridgeton, MO). All baseball fans are welcome to attend.
