Gardner-Waterman (Vermont) Chapter meeting recap – 10/14/2012
On a beautiful October 14, 2012, thirty-three people, including a dozen under the age of 14, attended a joint meeting of the Gardner-Waterman (Vermont) Chapter and the Buster Olney (Vermont Kids) Meetup at Main Street Landing on the Burlington Waterfront.
Following announcements and introductions, during which members talked about a baseball-related item they brought to the meeting, Glenn Stout of Alburgh, Vermont, led a discussion about his Seymour Medal-winning book, Fenway 1912. After a half-hour break to play catch in Waterfront Park, members returned to the Board Room to watch the new video “Vermont Baseball: Bring It Back,” and Ron Anderson discussed Long Taters, his biography of George “Boomer” Scott.
We look forward to meeting again next fall, if not sooner.
