Juan Marichal Chapter meeting recap – 4/27/2017
SABR’s Juan Marichal Chapter held its “April Fools” meeting on April 27, 2017, at the U-League local in Los Prados, Santo Domingo.
Twelve members of the chapter gathered to try and predict who will win the World Series this season.
Last year, Domingo Jimenez predicted it will be the Cubs after more than a century of failures, and he was defending his cup at this year’s meeting.
The predictions for this year were as follows:
- Washington Nationals (4 votes)
- Cleveland Indians (3)
- Toronto Blue Jays (1)
- Boston Red Sox (1)
- St. Louis Cardinals (1)
- Chicago Cubs (1)
- Houston Astros (1)
So the Washington Nationals are the favorites to be the next world champions.
