Juan Marichal Chapter meeting recap – 4/27/2023

On the evening of Thursday, April 27th, 2023, the Juan Marichal Chapter of SABR in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, held its annual “April Fools” meeting to choose the winner of the World Series in October 2023. Ten members showed up to register their choices and here they are:

 

Atlanta Braves………………….4

St. Louis Cardinals……………1

Houston Astros……………1

 

There  was a cordial exchange of opinions and lively arguments, each member explaining the reason of their choice.

The reward this year, besides a trophy acknowledging the winner, will be R.D. $15,000, fifteen thousand pesos (about 270 US Dollars).

 

In 2021 and 2022, nobody could correctly predict the winner of the World Series. We will see what happens in October of this year.
