Juan Marichal Chapter meeting recap – 4/30/2024
The Juan Marichal Chapter of SABR in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, held its annual “April Fools” meeting on April 30, 2024, to predict the World Series champion of the 2024 major league season.
- Ten members assisted to the meeting and here are their predictions:
- Four members predicted the Atlanta Braves
- Two members predicted the Baltimore Orioles
- And one member each predicted the St. Louis Cardinals, Cleveland Guardians, Philadelphia Phillies, and Los Angeles Dodgers.
We will see what happens in October! This year we have a trophy and twenty thousand pesos (about 330 US dollars) as a reward, if there is a winner. There has not been a winner three straight years now.
