Maddux Brothers-Las Vegas Chapter meeting recap – 3/5/2016
SABR’s Maddux Brothers-Las Vegas Chapter met Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Cashman Field in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Five members and one nonmember attended our second meeting of the year in the press box at our local Triple-A team’s ballpark. We opened with a “This Date in Baseball History” segment, with one of the more interesting items learned was that the St. Louis Cardinals started experimenting with uniform numbers in 1923, which led to a discussion of the history of uniform numbers.
The group spent 2 1/2 hours doing the thing we love best: talking about baseball. We ended the meeting picking winners and losers for the coming 2016 season.
