Clinton High School Chapter Raises $737 for ALS Research

SABR’s Clinton High School Chapter in Clinton, New York, recently raised $737 during its 10th annual ALS Fundraiser event, held each spring to honor the memory of Jean Kloster, mother of former Clinton student Ron Kloster.

High School Chapter in support of research to find a cure for ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease.The Clinton High School Chapter has raised more than $6,000 over the last decade in support of research to find a cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Greg Kenney, an actor from Pittsburgh, performed his one-man show as the featured presenter during the event. Door prizes were donated by Amy Dickinson, Community Relations Manager for New Hartford Barnes and Noble.

The evening also featured the distribution of the 2011 Smokeless Tobacco Education Calendar, produced by All-Star Publications of Syracuse, New York, and sponsored by BRIDGES to Prevent Tobacco.

The calendar features the baseball research of the following Clinton students: Dora Bekesi; O’Neil Campbell; Joe Durante; Elyssa Hapanowicz; Mike Hayduk; Sophia Mollers; Lenny Ortiz; Mike Petrie; Allecks Sadler; David Scoones; Mikel Sykes; Logan Williams; and P.J. Ziemba.
