Helping Israelis Play Baseball

SABR member Martin Abramowitz, president of Jewish Major Leaguers, threw out the first ball at Raanana – Hashmonaim Junior game, in honor of the 142 Jewish baseball players who have played in the major leagues since the 1870’s.

His organization decided recently to make available modest grants to the Israel Association of Baseball
in support of its efforts to reach Olympics-level play.
