Oscar Charleston Chapter meeting (Indianapolis, IN)

Happy baseball season! Join SABR's Oscar Charleston Chapter for its spring meeting on Saturday, April 27, 2019, which will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Haughville Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library, 2121 W. Michigan Street in Indianapolis. All baseball fans are welcome to attend this free event.

Here is our agenda:

  • 2:00 p.m.–2:45 p.m.: Professor Todd McDorman summarizes his Pete Rose research, parts of which he has presented at Cooperstown;
  • 2:45 p.m.–3:20 p.m.: Carlos Sosa and Noel Fliss discuss the origins of the Indianapolis Indians logo;
  • 3:20 p.m.–3:35 p.m.: Break, banter, and trivia;
  • 3:35 p.m.–4:15 p.m.: Bill Sampen reflects on his career with Pete Cava; and
  • 4:15 p.m.–onward: trivia answers and more banter.
