Membership Services Manager

Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the Membership Services Manager will lead SABR’s membership service efforts, including new member on-boarding, member communications, and membership transactions. As our Membership Services Manager, you will be responsible for membership retention and helping chapters develop their membership. An integral part of ensuring the success of our baseball community, this position will help drive SABR’s future growth and support the organization’s vision. You will also have the opportunity to help shape the success of SABR’s marquee events, including the Analytics Conference and Annual Convention. The ideal candidate for this position loves helping people and is passionate about baseball and SABR.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all membership communications and transactions and new member on-boarding strategies and efforts
  • Work with EVP and CEO to develop and execute successful membership retention strategies, including renewal follow-up correspondence and phone calls
  • Continually work to add value to SABR membership and effectively communicate membership value and benefits to members
  • Provide necessary support and resources to chapter leaders and committee chairs
  • Manage data within YourMembership software, identifying membership trends and developing streamlined reporting
  • Working with the chapter liaison, support communications efforts of all chapter leaders and committee chairs including, but not limited to, access to the YourMembership platform, bulk email use, membership lists, and access to admin tools
  • Support chapter leaders and the chapter liaison in membership recruiting and retention
  • Recruit, train, and support key volunteers to assist in membership onboarding efforts
  • Support SABR’s Analytics Certification initiative by providing customer service to registrants
  • Hosting of virtual events and training sessions, including member benefit tutorials and networking gatherings
  • Represent SABR at industry events and conferences and other public venues
  • Support the operations of SABR’s core events at the direction of the CEO and EVP
  • Travel, as necessary, to fulfill responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience in a service-related field
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of YourMembership software
  • Experience in the baseball industry
  • Experience with a non-profit, membership organization
  • Extensive knowledge of SABR

Job Status: Full-Time

Compensation: Salary plus benefits
