SABR Announces Dates for 2007 Annual Convention in St. Louis

Cleveland, OH — The dates for the 2007 Annual SABR Convention have been set and the hotel chosen.

 

SABR will return to the Adams Mark Hotel in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, July 26 to 29, 2007. The Adams Mark hosted the 1992 convention when SABR was last in St. Louis.

 

More information on how to make hotel reservations and on programming will be coming soon.

 

SABR 37 Call for Articles

 

Authors are sought for the 2007 St. Louis SABR Convention Publication.

 

The focus will be on St. Louis baseball, but all subject matter will be considered. Direct queries to Bob Tiemann at (314)-535-4215 or bobtiemann@webtv.net. Submissions can be mailed to Bob at 4518 Wichita Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110.

 

Who attends SABR conventions?

 

Mainly SABR members and their guests. However, non-members were welcome.  There is no test a person must pass to become an active SABR member. All that’s asked of members is that they have an interest in baseball research, statistics, or history.

 

Past & Future Sites     

 

The founding meeting of SABR held in 1971 at Cooperstown was counted as the first SABR convention.  Here are some other SABR convention facts:

           

— SABR 35, the 2005, convention was held in Toronto.
