SABR chapters honored for exceptional performance in 2024-25
JUNE 28, 2025 — At the SABR 53 Closing Ceremonies in Texas, SABR CEO Scott Bush recognized 20 regional chapters whose performance in the past year exceeded SABR’s standards.
Under the guidance of SABR’s Jessica Smyth, our 85 chapters continued working to further improve their operations by prescribing guidelines for governance, recruitment, research projects, and more.
The chapters below were recognized as SABR’s MVP chapters in 2024-25, and they will receive a $500 cash prize for their efforts:

- Jack Graney Chapter (Cleveland, OH)
- Hank Gowdy Chapter (Columbus, OH)
- Larry Dierker Chapter (Houston, TX)
- Halsey Hall Chapter (Minneapolis, MN)
- Schott-Pelican Chapter (New Orleans, LA)
- Casey Stengel Chapter (New York, NY)
- Elysian Fields Chapter (Northern New Jersey)
- Bob Broeg St. Louis Chapter (St. Louis, MO)
- Roush-Lopez Gulf Coast Chapter (Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL)
- Hanlan’s Point Chapter (Toronto, ON)
The chapters honored as All-Star chapters in the past year were:
- Magnolia Chapter (Atlanta, GA)
- Rogers Hornsby Chapter (Austin, TX)
- Baltimore Babe Ruth Chapter (Baltimore, MD)
- Rocky Mountain Chapter (Denver, CO)
- Mathewson-Plank Chapter (Harrisburg, PA)
- Pee Wee Reese Chapter (Louisville, KY)
- Clyde Sukeforth Northern New England Chapter (New Hampshire/Maine)
- Bob Davids Chapter (Washington, DC)
