SABR Member Benefit Spotlight: What to Expect at SABR 52 in Minneapolis
JULY 3, 2024 — As a SABR member, you have vast resources and benefits at your disposal. With so much information at your fingertips, we realize it can be overwhelming to absorb it all! To highlight key benefits, read on for a SABR Member Benefit Spotlight, an email series that identifies and explains some of the most valuable features of your membership. We hope this allows you to take full advantage of all SABR has to offer.
With just over a month until our annual convention, some of our friends in Minnesota give you an idea of what to expect at SABR 52.
The complete schedule for SABR’s biggest event, our annual convention, has been released! You’re invited to join us in Minneapolis from August 7-11, 2024 for a full week of nonstop baseball at SABR 52. If you haven’t already, check out the exciting programming we have planned, including panel discussions with four Hall of Famers, a range of research presentations and committee meetings, and more. We’ve added many new social elements this year, including more chances to mix and mingle at coffee talks and happy hours, so if you’ve never been to a SABR convention this a great year to make it your first!
Of course, you don’t have to take our word for it.
Here is a short video featuring some of our hosts with the Halsey Hall Chapter in Minnesota, sharing their favorite reasons to attend this summer’s SABR 52 convention in their hometown:
SINGLE-DAY REGISTRATION OPTIONS OPEN THIS FRIDAY
- Beginning this Friday, July 5, single-day registration will be available for the following convention dates:
- Thursday, August 8: $125 for SABR members, $155 non-members
- Friday, August 9: $125 for SABR members, $155 non-members
- Saturday, August 10: $125 for SABR members, $155 non-members
HOTEL DISCOUNT AND TICKET DEADLINE THIS FRIDAY
- The special SABR group rate at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis of $219/night plus tax (single/double occupancy) is only available to registered convention attendees. Please note: The cut-off date to book your room at the SABR group rate is Friday, July 5 (after you register for SABR 52, you will receive an email confirmation with details on how to book your hotel room at the SABR group rate.)
- Avoid the rush at registration, and pre-order your SABR 52 convention logo polo shirt, T-shirt, baseball cap, or lapel pin online! Deadline to pre-order is also Friday, July
- Tickets for our optional events — the St. Paul Saints game or Target Field ballpark tour on Thursday evening and the Minnesota Twins game on Friday evening — must also be purchased by Friday, July 5.
