Game 7!

Every World Series deserves a Game 7. And fortunately for humankind, the Houston Astros and the Washington Nationals are about to bring us one, on the last Wednesday of October, deep in the heart of Texas.

So before we get into what just happened on a bizarre Tuesday night, let’s talk about what’s about to happen Wednesday night, because it’s pretty awesome. We’ve got a World Series going on here that hasn’t made a whole lot of sense, but whatever. It’s all coming down to one game. And somehow or other, Max Scherzer — last seen falling out of bed and asking for help to get himself dressed a mere three days ago — is going to will himself to pitch it for the Nationals. Is this honestly happening? In real life?
