Description
A color slide of a 1939 Centennial Stamp of Grover Alexander affixed to a stamp album. Stamp number 14 in the set shows Alexander from the chest up and wearing a Philadelphia Phillies cap. His image is inside a Hall of Fame plaque shape with an orange background. Behind the plaque shape are two baseball bats and laurels forming an X on a yellow background. A blue border has illustrations of baseball gloves, bats, catcher's masks, baseballs, and chest protectors. The text on the border reads, "1839 Centenial [sic] of Baseball 1939" and "Commemorative Poster Stamps"
