A 1978 1948 Bowman reprint baseball card of Dutch Leonard. The back of card number 24 in the set reads, "24 - Emil (Dutch) Leonard Pitcher - Philadelphia Phillies Born : Auburn, Ill. 1910 Bats : Right Throws : Right Height : 5 : 11 Weight : 187 One of the "old" men of baseball. Since 1947 was one of his best seasons it shows what a fellow can do if he takes care of himself. Experience and ability are an unbeatable combination. He's had his ups and downs, being sent back to the minors. He fought his way back in two years. Originally a Dodgers, he came back from the minors to spend nine years with the Senators.
