The back of card number 182 in the set reads, "Tom Ferrick Pitcher - New York Yankees Born: New York, N.Y., Jan. 6, 1915 Height: 6-2 1/2 Weight: 200 Bats: Right Throws: Right After appearing in 16 games for the 1950 Brownies, winning 1 and losing 3, Tom was acquired by the Yanks. He proved valuable to them in their pennant drive. His relief hurling netted 8 wins against 4 losses. He took part in 30 games. Has been playing ball since 1936. Made the majors in 1941. Has played for 5 big-league outfits, beginning with Athletics. In the service 3 years. No. 182 in the 1951 series Baseball Picture Cards Reprint 1986 C.C.C."
