A 1986 Card Collectors 1951 Bowman Reprint baseball card of Al Gettel. The back of card number 304 in the set reads, "Allen Gettel Pitcher - New York Giants Born: Norfolk, Va., Sept. 17, 1917 Height: 6-3 Weight: 200 Bats: Right Throws: Right Back for second big-league fling. Had a very impressive 23-7 record for Oakland, Pacific Coast League, in 1950. In pro ball for 14 full seasons. Compiled a 17-7 record, and an earned run average of 1.81, for Norfolk in 1944. Joined the Yanks after that. Remained with them until traded to the Indians. Sent to White Sox, June, 1948. With Senators a year later. Then to Oakland.
