A 1986 Card Collectors 1951 Bowman Reprint baseball card of Lou Brissie. The back of card number 155 in the set reads, "Lou Brissie Pitcher - Cleveland Indians Born: Anderson, S.C., June 5, 1924 Height: 6-4 Weight: 215 Bats: Left Throws: Left Like most of the other A's pitchers, Lou fell on tough times in 1950. Had a 7-19 record in 46 games. In 1949, won 16, lost 11. In rookie year, 1948, won 14, while losing 10. Struck out 127 batters. During action, in the second world war, an exploding shell shattered Lou's left leg. As a result, he has to wear a brace. Traded to Cleveland, April 30, 1951, in a big 3-club deal.
