A slide of a black-and-white photograph of Jackie Robinson on page 85 of the book "Jackie Robinson: My Own Story". Robinson is leaping into the air above first base, both arms outstretched. The Ebbets Field scoreboard is in the background to Robinson's right. The photograph is from Robinson's first game in the Major Leagues, April 15, 1947. The caption under the photograph reads, "Learning to play first base and trying to break into the Big Leagues at the same time was probably the biggest problem of my career. I had never before, even in good games, played first base. I never thought I'd be successful."
