Description
A color slide of Sports Review Magazine, Baseball Issue, Vol.10, No.2, 1950 cover, showing Brooklyn Dodger Jackie Robinson caught in a rundown between 3rd base and home plate. Chicago Cubs third baseman Andy Pafko is chasing Robinson toward home plate and is throwing the ball to Cub catcher Rube Walker as Robinson is in the process of stopping and heading back to third base. Robinson is wearing a Dodgers road uniform and Pafko and Walker are wearing Cubs home uniforms. The rundown took place in the top of the 4th inning. Robinson would eventually be tagged out at home plate by Walker.
