Babe Ruth Called Home Run Illustration

Description

A color slide of a full-length illustration of Babe Ruth hitting his famous "called shot" in the 1932 World Series. In the rendition, Ruth is in the left-handed batter's box in his swing follow-through. His right foot is forward as he starts toward first base, pushing off with his left foot next to home plate. His baseball bat is perpendicular to the ground, with the bat's barrel above his shoulders. The game was at Wrigley Field, but he wears a New York Yankees home uniform in the drawing. The catcher is looking out to the field in a three-quarter high stance. Note that the catcher cannot be definitively identified in the drawing. However, Gabby Hartnett was the only Chicago Cubs catcher in this World Series game. Written on the physical slide is "called shot 1932 World Series".
