Babe Ruth September 1933 Vanity Fair Cover

Description

A color slide of the cover of Vanity Fair from September 1933. There is a caricature drawing of Babe Ruth in a white pinstriped uniform, but the New York Yankees logo is missing. He is holding a bat, waiting for a pitch, in a left-handed pose. The image of Ruth is very large, he has a huge torso, and his nose is featured very prominently on his face. The background is of a baseball field. "VANITY FAIR" is written on the outfield wall. In the lower right-hand corner is written: SEPT. 1933 PRICE 35 CTS. THE CONDE NAST PUBLICATIONS, INC. Information written on the physical slide reads "Vanity Fair Cover Conde-Nast"
