Description
A color slide of a photograph showing Ted Williams in the Boston Red Sox clubhouse for an Old-Timers’ Game at Fenway Park. The game took place in either May 1984 or May 1986. Williams is shown from the hips up, with only the left side of his face visible as he looks at the bat rack. He appears to be selecting a bat to use in the game, and his right arm is reaching for a bat on the middle rack. Williams is wearing a Red Sox cap and a home uniform. An unidentified player is shown behind Williams at the right of the image. Information written on the physical slide reads, "Ted Williams at Fenway c. 1876 [sic]”; however, the first Old-Timers’ Game at Fenway Park did not take place until 1982.
