The back of card number 186 in the set reads, "Richie Ashburn Outfield - Philadelphia Phillies Born: Tilden, Neb., March. 19, 1927 Height: 5-10 ft. Weight: 165 Bats: Left Throws: Right One of the speed boys of the National League. Hit .303 in 151 games in 1950. Began in organized baseball in 1945 with the Phils' Utica farm team. Spent 1946 in Service. Returned in 1947 to hit .362 for Utica. Called up by the Phillies in 1948. voted the rookie of the year. Hit .333. Hit .284 in 1949.
