The back of card number 110 in the set reads, "Bobby Brown Third Base - New York Yankees Born: Dilion, S.C., Aug. 16, 1925 Height: 6-1 Weight: 180 Bats: Left Throws: Right Batted .267 in 95 games in 1950. Hit well in the World Series. Bobby had graduated from medical school, and had started his interneship, when he signed with the Yankees for a reported$50,000 bonus. Farmed to Newark for first season (1946). In a utility role for Yanks, 1947. Hit .300 in 1948; .283 in 1949. Now completing hospital interneship in preparation for medical branch of service.
