The back of card number 158 in the set reads, "Chuck Diering Outfield - St. Louis Cardinals Born: St. Louis, Mo., Feb. 5, 1923 Height: 5-9 1/2 Weight: 165 Bats: Right Throws: Right Had batting average of .250 in 89 games in 1950. First pro experience (1941) resulted from record in high school and Legion ball in St. Louis. Joined service after 1942 season. Returned in 1946 to play for Rochester. In first 4 games hit 3 homers. Played for Cardinals in 1947. In 105 games. After 7 games for Cards in 1948, sent to Rochester. Finished season there. Back to Cards in 1949.
