The back of card number 226 in the set reads, "Jimmy Dykes Manager - Philadelphia Athletics Born: Philadelphia, Pa., Nov. 10, 1898 Height: 5-9 Weight: 185 Bats: Right Throws: Right Most of Jimmy's long and successful playing career was spent in his home city with the Athletics. He began pro ball in 1917, and was with the A's, 1918-1932. Finished playing days with the White Sox. Naed Chisox manager in 1934. Held that post until August 1946. Managed Hollywood, Pacific Coast League, during part of the 1946 and in 1947 and 1948. Now piloting his old team, the A's. No. 226 in the 1951 series Baseball Picture Cards Reprint 1986 C.C.C."
