The back of card number 79 in the set reads, "Jim Hegan Catcher - Cleveland Indians Born: Lynn, Mass., Aug. 3, 1920 Height: 6-2 Weight: 195 Bats: Right Throws: Right Got into 131 games in 1950. Hit .219. Drove in 58 runs. First joined Indians for 34 games toward end of 1941. Started next campaign with Baltimore, but was quickly called back to Cleveland. Next came 3 years in the service. Returned to be the Indians' first-string catcher. Led AL backstoppers in putouts in 1947 and 1948. Led in double plays in 1948. Hit .224 in 152 games in 1949.
